  • Expanding body paragraphs(if you find more information, don’t forget to put the information on your index card sheets or you are breaking the law and I will put you in prison or make you run 20 laps up the stairs)
  • Conclusion Paragraph
  • Your final essay is due Thursday 5/31(2 pages)
Reminders:
  1. Make sure your paper is 2 pages long
  2. Make sure your thesis is connected to your body paragraphs
  3. Make sure all of your body paragraph main ideas are opinions
  4. Make sure all of the facts in your body paragraphs support your topic

  • 2 bookmark prompts  responses in your Independent Reading Notebooks
  • You should have finished 3 Independent Reading books by now.  Make sure you have completed three Book Bingo Form in your Independent Reading Notebooks.   
  • Make sure to record when you read and what you read in the front of your Independent Reading Journals.

1.Can you find any run-on sentences? Give advice

2.Do the main ideas of the body paragraph connect to the thesis? If not Give advice

  •  Make sure to complete the Book Bingo Form in your notebook every time you finish a book from your genre list.  Make sure to fill out your Bingo Sheet as well.

  • Create a Google Docs document for your essay
  • Write 3 body paragraphs for your essay using your outline 
  • Post the link on my Wikispaces page.

      Monday 10/24-  Continue to work on projects.  Posters should be complete by Wednesday.   The second part of your projects should be about halfway done.  
      Thursday 10/13- Final Personal Narratives due at the end of class.  Email me your personal narrative drafts if you wish for more feedback and advice.

      Tuesday 10/11- A)  Re-write one personal narrative using Microsoft Word and make improvements where needed.   Email me your final copy and bring the file to class or store it in your email account.  B) Complete Independent Reading ( 2 entries) Each entry should have:  1 summary, 3 Vocabulary entries, 3 questions.
